Hello, my name is Prisha Kapur. I'm in sixth grade and I'm 11 years old. And my name is Saachi Kapur. I'm 8 years old and I'm in third grade. And we're both in Basis Pflugerville.

Today we're going to talk about our nonprofit called Birthday Smiles Project. And in this project, we'll make gift bags or boxes and we'll put lots of things like presents and cake and cards. And we're also going to put essential things like water and food and more for underprivileged people. And this can be for all ages, like young children, adults, and senior citizens.

And the notes are going to be handwritten, because if we use ChatGPT or AI to write them, then it's not going to be as special. And our goal is to try to bring joy, smiles, and happiness to people's faces. And we also want to build our community.

Our story

A simple vision: no birthday forgotten.

The Birthday Smiles Project is beginning with a belief that is close to our hearts: every person deserves to feel seen and celebrated on their birthday.

We envision creating joyful birthdays for children and people who may not have family members to celebrate with them, complete with caring company, cake, candles, and a thoughtful gift.

We are now looking for volunteers, supporters, and community partners who want to help us bring the first of these celebrations to life.

We hope to prepare thoughtful boxes with a wrapped gift, party hat, card, and treats, something special to open on the day.
