Our story

A simple vision: no birthday forgotten.

The Birthday Smiles Project is beginning with a belief that is close to our hearts: every person deserves to feel seen and celebrated on their birthday.

We envision creating joyful birthdays for children and people who may not have family members to celebrate with them, complete with caring company, cake, candles, and a thoughtful gift.

We are now looking for volunteers, supporters, and community partners who want to help us bring the first of these celebrations to life.

We hope to prepare thoughtful boxes with a wrapped gift, party hat, card, and treats, something special to open on the day.

We are a newly formed Texas nonprofit corporation. We are not collecting money from the public yet. Right now the best way to help is with your time, your skills, and your connections in the community.

Give your time

Volunteer to help plan, bake, wrap, decorate, or deliver as we prepare our very first celebrations.

Offer in-kind help

Share gifts, cake, party supplies, printing, or a venue. In-kind offers are reviewed and accepted case by case.

Partner with us

Schools, shelters, care homes, faith groups, and local businesses can help us reach people who need a celebration.

Important notice about donations

The Birthday Smiles Project is a nonprofit corporation organized under the Texas Business Organizations Code. Our application for federal tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) is pending. Until the IRS issues a determination letter, we are not soliciting or accepting monetary donations, and no contribution can be treated as tax deductible.
